Booking the Proposal

 

Open the proposal which you would like to book (you may still revise the proposal prior to booking).

Once the proposal is ready to be booked, click on the Create Booking button (handshake button) from Campaign Summary window.

A Booking window will appear; check-mark your desired method of sending the booking to Traffic.

 

Production Source – the station that is being booked

Discounts – Show C58 Discounts – this is used by U. S. stations that border on Canada when they sell advertising to Canadian advertisers to ensure that they sell at a competitive price.  The discount is automatically set to None, 20% or 40% and will appear on the New Order printout.

% Prime – Show Overall % Prime – shows what percentage of the order is primetime, as defined by the system

Traffic Code Reminder - If this option is checked in standalone Sales (Symphony system does not care about this option), the system displays warning message when Traffic code doesn’t exist for the selected Client, Agency, Account Executive or Order Type.  The system pops up a warning message, for example, that ‘The Traffic code for Client has not been entered.’ 

Header Shading – if this option is turned off, the header will not be grey.  When faxing was more prevelant, this option was used more

Sort ByFlight or Line Number – choosing flight will sort the lines by the start and end dates; choosing line number will keep the the order in which the user enters the lines

Flag As Urgent – when sent to Traffic, the order will be marked as Urgent (with a ! ) so that the Traffic Manager will see that it is urgent

Display Monthly Billing – if turned On, the monthly billing will be broken out and displayed on the print out

 

 

For SDS Sales that is connected to SDS Traffic Systems, check mark Electronic Booking to have the booking sent directly to the Traffic System. Once the desired selections are made, click Book.

 

Selecting Print will generate a print preview. From there, the booking can be printed, emailed or saved.

Selecting Email will open a new email with the booking attached.

 

If the advertiser chosen in the Header has exceeded their credit limit, and the user attempts to book the order, the following screen will appear
