Definition of each field to be filled in:
Event Source – This is an internal code to Louth. This field indicates the type of secondary event that the Louth Automation will set up.
ID – Trigger for Louth to key on. The selections should be identical to the devices that are configured in the Louth System.
Event Control – Each event is a different type. For example, most primary segments are “A” (Auto), “P” (Play) or “T” (Thread). These codes need to match Louth’s configurations and is imported directly into the Type field of the Louth Playlist
Extended Event Control – There are 3 pre-sets that can be defined that will assist in the calculation of offset times. Their symbols and their meanings are as follows:
o = Duration of secondary events matches primary event
o > Event begins at end of segment (offset not required)
o < Event begins before segment ends. Simply enter the length of the offset. Louth will calculate the overall offset automatically
Internal Description – This is an internal description that will appear in pre-edit and interstitial insertion lists and also on the printed log. This information is not imported into any Louth Playlist field
Title – The name that is assigned to the event/asset. This field should be imported directly into the “Title” field in the Louth Playlist and can tell the device what cut, page or title to cue and play. This field can be either text or numeric. If text is selected, you must use the Sec# field.
Effect Type – Determines the type effect used to air the event, examples are cross fade, cut and audio over. Info imported directly into the Louth field by the same name. This must match the Louth drop down box selections
Effect Speed – Determines the speed of the event. Information imported directly in the Louth field by the same name. This must match the Louth drop down box selections
Sec Event # - This is the number that will specify the graphic number to be displayed. This filed can be used instead of the title field
Offset – The length of time to elapse after the primary event can begin. This is imported directly into the “Time” column of the Louth Playlist
Duration – The length of the event. Information is imported directly into the “Duration” field of the Louth Playlist. If the Event Control is selected as “PT” and the Extended Event Control is selected as “=” then Louth will ignore this field and run the event for the same duration as the Primary Event
Stereo or Mono – This indicates whether the event is in Stereo or Mono
